In august 2015 Belgian photographer Pieter-Jan Peeters started the ongoing series 'Thoughts' with his partner Ilse La Monaca. Since then, everywhere they went, they asked people what they were thinking about at the moment they had been photographed. Pieter-Jan and Ilse travelled to Budapest, Hamburg, Bremen, Heidelberg, Brussels and other cities in Belgium. The 'Thoughts' project gives an impression how people appear in public spaces and also what is going on inside of them. It reveals an exciting gap between these realities. You can view a selection of these street portraits on this website. In 2016 they made a book about Social Economy and a series of portraits in commission of the council of Hamme (Belgium).
